Working with our Suppliers
We have chosen to work with you because we believe you are a strong supplier within your field of expertise and suit SinoScan’s business model. You must believe in competitive and sustainable business. We also believe you will benefit from the co-operation. We have close relationships with our customers, which results in a high success rate on projects. We have a high focus on product quality which reduces your costs and secures long-term business. It is our aim to establish a stable relationship with you, and we hope you are willing to continuously improve our co-operation. If we get a solid impression of your seriousness, we are willing to start co-operation with you, even if you are not fully able to meet our requirements at our initial supplier evaluation. However this requires that we can make an agreement for necessary improvements and a corresponding time schedule.
You are of course aware that you need to do your utmost all the time to ensure you stay competitive on price, quality and delivery performance. SinoScan monitors these parameters very closely, and we will hold regular meetings with you to discuss continued improvements and to have general discussions about future plans for development of our co-operation. It is the strategy for SinoScan to improve competitiveness with existing suppliers instead of jumping to a new supplier at the first opportunity. We expect you take your part of responsibility in our co-operation. It is when we are both dedicated to achieve success that we become successful together. It means that we will require extraordinary effort from you when this is needed to achieve a good result.
Protecting working conditions
SinoScan has high ethical and moral standards for our own activities and we expect our suppliers to match this. We especially want our suppliers to ensure good working conditions for their employees. We do not tolerate any form of forced or underage workers. Employment contracts for workers must comply with all relevant Chinese regulations and unreasonable reduction of salary or benefits is unacceptable.
We expect you ensure a good and safe working environment from both physical and psychological point of view. You must ensure all your processes are safe for your employees, and you must always strive to reduce the risk or short and long-term injuries. We believe that it is possible to combine safe and efficient working. It is your responsibility to create an environment for your employees, where they feel trusted and appreciated and where no-one is discriminated in any way because of race, sex, religion, political opinion or national or social origin. You must respect employees’ rights to privacy. For example this means that private information must be prohibited from being disclosed and uninterrupted surveillance of operators is not acceptable.
We expect you follow good Chinese traditions with a strong social responsibility for your employees and that you accept your employees right to negotiate salary and conditions with you individually or as a group. We require you to do as little harm to the outside environment as possible. You must control pollution of water, air and earth as much as possible and at least to meet the requirements of relevant Chinese regulations. We believe that Chinese environmental regulations are sound and reasonable, but not always followed by Chinese companies. For your own and for the general benefit of society you must always strive to reduce you energy consumption through improvement on equipment, processes, buildings and practice SinoScan has systems set up to follow-up on environmental issues. We do not expect all our suppliers to live up to our standards in a short time. The principle to be followed is continued improvements which will be followed up in meetings and monitored by our employees. Please provide co-operation with them on this issue. They have been given guidelines to follow to ensure focus on this ever more important issue.
